  • This event involves three phases of the construction: Pre- Construction, Ongoing- Construction, and Post- Construction phase.
  • Phase 1: The structure that is to be made will be informed, and bidding has to be done. In bidding process, time is considered as money.
  • The process of bidding will be informed on the day of event. The least bidder (team) who comes forward with the least time to construct the structure will be given the contract. Extra 10 points will be awarded.
  • Phase 2: This time will be provided to all the teams to simulate the structure. The necessary resources will be provided.

    General Guidelines:

  • The competition is held in the English language alone.
  • Round 1:
  • The picture to base the prose on shall be disclosed on 2nd February 2019 on technikala.co.in under the corresponding event tab.
  • Forms of Interpretation can be - Short story (No Novelette shall be entertained), Monologue, Narrative. Inclusion of an abstract and short poetry to convey the idea is allowed subject to the condition that the entry should essentially be a prose.
  • Plagiarism (From a copyrighted work OR an internet publication) would lead to an immediate disqualification.
  • Content should not be defaming/abusive towards any community, person or place, however, individual opinions can be stated with decency and decorum.
  • Abusive, obscene or exorbitantly erotic content will be immediately disqualified.
  • Any form of illustration (graph, photograph, hand sketch) is not allowed.
  • The entry has to be a previously unpublished work.
  • Only one entry per contestant is valid.

  • Round 1: It will be a practice round. Each participant will spell one practice word. Following it will be a surprise round.
  • Round 2: Participants will be asked to spell 5 words each. Misspelled words will be carried to next participant. It will be an elimination round. Only 5 participants will advance to next round.
  • Round 3: It will be a buzzer round.
  • The judges’ decisions are final.

  • The topic will be given on the spot.
  • 10 minutes will be allotted for preparation.
  • Two teams will get the same topic. These two teams will be paired against each other.
  • Each member will give a speech for a maximum of 3 minutes. One in favour of the motion and the other against the motion.
  • Each team has to necessarily accept 2 POI’s (two questions from the other side, regarding their case in the entire duration of their combined 6 minute speeches, in case the opponents have questions to ask).
  • Use of obscenity/profanity (at the discretion of the judges) is not allowed and there should be no direct implications.
  • All further rules/guidelines will be disclosed on the spot.
  • Judgment Criteria:

  • The emphasis is on the arguments that you make and your rebuttal of the other side’s arguments. Rebuttals will be highly valued as it denotes originality.
  • The decision will be on the basis of speaker scores. The team with the higher combined speaker scores qualifies. Exceeding the time limit will be heavily penalised.

  • A team member is entitled to play only when his name has been entered on the score-sheet before the start of the game.

  • A team member shall be disqualified if found to be using any equipment that is designed to increase their height/reach and equipment that is deemed to be harmful to the players during active play.
  • If a team is unable to field five players till 15 minutes after the scheduled starting time of the game or if the team refuses to play the match then the match shall be awarded to the opponent team.
  • Standard International rules of Basketball apply.
  • All the participants should be of the same college/university.
  • A open tournament maybe organized for mixed team based on the number of registrations.

  • Victory Condition: The team winning maximum of the played rounds will be declared as the winner.
  • In case of a tie, additional 10 rounds will be played. After 5 rounds teams will change from terrorist to counter terrorist and vice versa.
  • Players shall be given not more than 3 minutes warmup time.
  • Team members can communicate verbally only if they are alive in the match or when all team members are dead.
  • The version of Counter Strike to be played is CS Source.
  • The player is deemed dead when the screen is completely faded to black. If a bug occurs and the screen doesn’t fade to black, the player is deemed dead three seconds after he/she has fallen.
  • Players may bring their gaming accessories (organizers will not be responsible for any incompatibility with the system provided).
  • Use of any other map or program bugs can result in elimination of the team and no appeals shall be entertained by the organizers.
  • Use of unfair but available scripts (e.g. attack+ use, center view script, no recoil script etc.) will lead to disqualification of the team with no further consideration.
  • Console commands are not allowed.
  • We have a zero tolerance policy for cheating. Players caught while cheating, misbehaving or abusing before/during the game will be immediately disqualified.

  • Match will begin once the room is filled and there will be an auto map select between Erangel, Miramar, Sanhok and Vikendi.
  • The squad that gets chicken dinner in the room will win.
  • If multiple room matches are held, top two players from each room will be chosen and a mega match will be conducted between them to decide the better squad.
